We have heard Mr. Rudrawar, the learned advocate for the petitioner. The learned advocate submits that, the Talathi has no power to seize the vehicle.

An amendment has taken place in Section 48 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code. Now the Circle Officer and Talathi have power to seize the vehicle.

In view of that, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to avail the alternate remedy. All contentions are kept open. No costs.
