Heard the learned Advocates for the respective sides. 2.

There is no dispute that the award dated 03.05.2016, has been declared and the compensation payable to the beneficiaries whose names appear in the Award, is also quantified. The only prayer of the Petitioners is that, as the Award is delivered on 03.05.2016, the compensation be paid within thirty days, along with interest as is statutorily payable. The possession of the lands was taken in 2008. 3.

The learned AGP prays that at least six months period may be granted.

Considering the sequence of events and the fact that the possession of the lands was taken 16 years ago and the award has been

14wp4786-24 delivered eight years ago, we direct the authorities to pay compensation within 45 days from today, along with interest as is statutorily payable. 5.

The Writ Petition is disposed off.
