In the present Petition, the Petitioners, who were working as Assistant Teachers on an unaided post with the Respondent No.6 Education Society, has challenged the order dated 2/1/2024, passed by the Respondent No.5 Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Ahmednagar, rejecting the approval to their appointments.

Learned A.G.P. appearing for Respondents No.1 to 5 submits that, by Government Resolution dated 27/3/2024, issued by the State of Maharashtra in the School Education & Sports Department, the Grievance Committee/ Appellate

Writ Petition No.6797/2024 :: 2 ::

Authority has been constituted to entertain and decide the appeals against the decision by the authority under the Maharashtra Employees of Private Schools (Conditions of Service) Regulation Act, 1977 and the Rules, 1981, from 1/1/2024 onwards. He submits that, the Petitioners can very well avail the said remedy since the impugned order is subsequent to 1/1/2024.

Learned Advocate for the Petitioners, on instructions, seeks to withdraw the Petition with liberty to approach the Competent Grievance Committee/ Appellate Authority as specified in the said Government Resolution. 4.

In view of the above, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. Since the petitioners were pursuing the remedy before this Court, time spent in this petition shall not be construed as delay by the said Grievance Committee/ Appellate Authority.
