Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the mother of the petitioner was sanctioned the pension under the scheme of Financial Assistance to Persons Distinguished in Letters Arts and such other Walks of life who may be in indigent circumstances and their

2 W.P.No.6719/15 dependents. The pension was granted with effect from 1.1.2014. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner being the son of the deceased is entitled to receive the amount.

Mr.Rane, learned counsel submits that Respondent No.3 is only implementing authority. 3.

Mr.Deshpande, learned Assistant Solicitor General, submits that nomination was not submitted by the deceased. Upon compliance of all the documents, the Respondents would consider the case of petitioner.

The question of pension would be only for a period of January 2014 to 28.9.2014.

It appears that before nomination could be given, the mother of the petitioner had died. The petitioner shall submit the necessary documents as required by the Respondents. Upon receipt of the necessary documents, the Respondents shall take decision upon the entitlement of the petitioner to receive the

3 W.P.No.6719/15 amount under the scheme pursuant to which the deceased mother was granted pension. The said decision shall be taken within a period of six

(6) months from the date of receipt of all the documents from the petitioner.

If the Respondents come to the conclusion about the entitlement of the petitioner to receive the amount then the same shall be paid to the petitioner expeditiously.

The Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
