Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.G.P. for respondent Nos 1 to 4.

The grievance raised in this petition relates to lack of civic amenities in Galibnagar, Sultanpura and Milly Colony which fall within the territory of Nagar Parishad, Osmanabad and for removal of encroachments made in the said area. The petitioner is said to have made representation on 29.07.2021 which is addressed to the District Collector,

wp5956.23 -2Osmanabad. However, a copy of said representation is said to have been endorsed to the Chief Officer, Nagar Parishad, Osmanabad. Our attention has been drawn to a letter dated 09.03.2022 written by the Tahsildar to the Chief Officer, Nagar Parishad, Osmanabad, requesting for providing civic amenities to the residents in the area and for removal of encroachments made in the said area.

In view of the aforesaid, we direct that the matter shall be looked into by the Chief Officer, Nagar Parishad, Osmanabad, who shall not only decide the application, said to have been preferred by the petitioner on 29.07.2021, which has been annexed at Exhibit "A" to the petition, within a period of four weeks from today, but shall take appropriate steps so that the civic amenities are provided to the residents in the area properly and the encroachments in the said area shall be removed.

With the aforesaid directions, writ petition is disposed of.
