The Petitioner is before us because Respondent Tahsildar has directed Respondent No.5 Bank where the Petitioner holds an account that the Petitioner's account be frozen since the Petitioner has not paid the arrears of land revenue for the years 2020-21 and 2021-22. The learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the Petitioner is not in default and has paid the necessary land revenue and for certain payment demanded, the Petitioner in law is also not liable. The learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the

rlj 2/2 wp8886.23 Petitioner is not averse and cannot be averse for payment of land revenue, if it is legally due.

In view of this position, Respondent No.4 Tahsildar will give audience to the Petitioner or his representative wherein the Petitioner pursuant to the notice will show cause regarding the arrears by producing necessary documents. Thereupon, the Tahsildar will decide the claim regarding arrears. If the Tahsildar is satisfied that the Petitioner is not liable to pay any land revenue or has already been paid the same, will proceed to pass an order. The Tahsildar will give a date to the Petitioner to attend his office within a period of four weeks from today.
