Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioners and the learned AGP appearing for the State.

The learned Counsel for the petitioners invites our attention to the contents of the letter written by the Director of Education, Secondary and Higher Secondary, Maharashtra State, Pune to the Deputy Secretary, School Education and Sports Department, Government of Maharashtra, Mantralaya, Mumbai dated 5th

5129.16wp April, 2013 (Exh.J, page 54) and submits that though the said letter has been written by the Director of Education to the department concerned in Mantralaya, respondent No.1 has not taken any decision on the proposal submitted by the petitioners for sanction to two posts of peon as recommended by the Director of Education.

We direct respondent No.1 to take a decision, if already not taken, on the said proposal submitted through and recommended by the Director of Education, Secondary and Higher Secondary, M.S., Pune, as expeditiously as possible;

however, within eight weeks from today, keeping in view the relevant Government Policy and communicate the decision so taken to petitioner No.1.

The petition stands disposed of on the above terms.
