Proceedings in this petition arises from an application for mutation entry in the revenue record.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 3.

It is settled that, mere entries in revenue record which are meant for fiscal purposes do not adjudicate substantive rights of the parties and, therefore, interference under article 227 of the constitution of India is generally not warranted.

In the present case, it appears that petitioner will have to adjudicate his substantive rights before competent forum. Needless to say that proceedings if instituted would be decided, unaffected by the mutation entries. It is also clarified that these entries will be subject to out come of this proceeding. With this clarification, writ petition is disposed of.
