The reasons recorded in the application, seeking extension of time for completion of investigation are not satisfactory. The offence is alleged to have been committed in the year 2007. However, the investigating agency has observed total laxity in furthering the investigation and putting it to logical end. This Court, on consideration of request of the learned APP, on 7.12.2015 granted time till 30.4.2016 for completion of investigation. However, the instant application is again presented seeking further six months extension for completing investigation.

{2} Considering the facts of the case, we deem it appropriate to grant time till 13.6.2016. The investigating agency is expected to complete the investigation and present charge sheet till then. The investigating agency shall also take note of the observations made by us in the order passed today in Writ Petition No.1253/2014 and take steps accordingly. The nature of crime alleged in the instant matter is similar to the one wherein, we have passed aforesaid order.

Stand over to 13.6.2016.

Criminal application is disposed of.
