The writ petition assails the amendment to Sec. 61(b) of the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act 2002. The learned Assistant Government Pleader states that, said provisions of Sec. 61(b) of the said Act stands deleted vide the Maharashtra Act No. XXVII of 2014 with effect from 26.06.2014.

In the light of the above, the challenge made in the writ petition no longer survives. The writ petition as such stands disposed of. Rule discharged. No costs.
