The petitioner claims to belong to Thakur, Scheduled Tribe(ST) and is appointed in the agriculture department as against a seat reserved for ST category. As a result of his failure to submit tribe validation certificate, notice is issued by respondent No.3 on 29.3.2017, calling upon him to submit validation certificate. It is further informed that in the event of failure, appropriate action will be taken against him. Learned counsel appearing for respondent No.2 on instructions, informs that hearing in respect of proposal for validation of the tribe certificate is prescribed on 12.5.2017 and order will be passed in the matter within three months.

In view of the statement made, respondent No.3 scrutiny committee is directed to decide the tribe certificate verification claim of the petitioner within a period of three months from today. The petitioner undertakes to cooperate the scrutiny committee for disposal of the claim and also undertakes to appear before the committee on the prescribed date. Respondent Nos.3 and 4 are directed not to take any coercive action against the petitioner until disposal of tribe validation claim pending with respondent No.2 committee.
