PER COURT :- In view of efficacious alternate remedy available under section 24 of the Representation of Peoples Act, 1950, the writ petitions need not be entertained. The grievances of the petitioners can be redressed by permitting the petitioners to present appeals to the appellate forum within a period of five days from today and by issuing further directions to the appellate authority to take decision in observance of the procedure prescribed under law and rules framed thereunder, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of 15 days from the date of presentation of the appeals and it is accordingly directed. The petitioners undertake to ensure service on the affected persons at his own costs.

Both the petitions stand disposed of.
