After hearing learned advocates for the parties it appears that order of the Collector had been subject matter of challenge before Commissioner. The Commissioner initially on 17th March, 2017 had ordered to maintain status quo. Thereafter on 3rd April, 2017 the matter was adjourned to 21st April, 2017 however, later on, the Commissioner, purportedly vacated status quo order. It is against this order, writ petition has been moved. 2.

Learned advocates resile to a situation wherein there can be direction to the Commissioner to go on with the proceedings pending before him on merits, maintaining stay order granted by this court during pendency of the proceedings.

In view of aforesaid, interim relief granted by this court to continue to operate till disposal of the proceedings before Commissioner on merits. Commissioner to proceed with the proceedings as expeditiously as possible.

Writ petition, as such, stands disposed of.
