We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. The reservation for the post of Sarpanch for the election to be held in May 2010 is challenged. Thereafter another election has already taken place.

In light of that, with the passage of time the relief claimed does not survive. The writ petition as such is disposed of. No costs. Rule discharged.
