Heard the learned counsel for petitioners.

The learned AGP submits that the Sub-Divisional Officer, Soil and Water Conservation, Sub Division, Bhokardan has filed affidavit. It is clarified that the acquiring body is ready to submit the fresh proposal for the land acquisition of various lands including the present petitioners.

The acquiring body may forward the fresh proposal to the Land Acquisition Officer preferably within two months from today. On receipt of the proposal from the acquiring body, the Special Land Acquisition Officer shall initiate the acquisition proceedings as per the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation Act, 2013,

The said proceedings be completed within the period stipulated under the Right to Fair Compensation Act, 2013. The parties are at liberty to explore possibility of purchase by private negotiations also.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
