We have heard Mr Deshmukh, learned Advocate for the petitioner. The learned Advocate submits that, the construction of a statue on UMA chowk, Udgir is to take place illegally. The petitioner had made representations to the authorities and Collector also, but no decision has been taken. The report of the PWD also suggests that, the said activity is illegal.

The learned AGP, on instructions, submits that the Collector would decide the application of the petitioner within two months.

The petitioner may file an interim application with the Gajanan

Collector. The Collector, considering the urgency in the matter, shall pass orders on the interim application of the petitioner on its own merits, in accordance with law, preferably within one week from the date of filing of the application.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs. 5.
