Applicant No.1 - husband of the complainant poured hot water on the person of wife - complainant, and caused deep burn injuries. The complainant was initially treated in Rural Hospital, Rahuri; where-after referred to Civil Hospital, Ahmednagar for further treatment. Although injuries were simple as stated in the certificate, it does not dilute gravity of the offence. At this stage I have no reason to disbelieve accusation against applicant No.1. His application is, therefore, rejected.

Applicant No.2 is 70 years old lady; mother-inlaw of the complainant. She allegedly inflicted blows to the complainant; where-after her husband poured hot water on the person of the complainant. In consideration of

( 2 ) aba611.21 the role attributed to applicant No.2 and in view of her advanced age, she is granted pre-arrest protection. Hence, order :- i) Anticipatory bail is refused to applicant No.1-Shani s/o. Sudam Jadhav and his application is dismissed accordingly.

ii) Applicant No.2-Shalanbai w/o. Sudam Jadhav is granted pre-arrest bail. In the event of arrest of applicant No.2, applicant No.2 be released on bail on executing bond in the sum of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with one or more sureties in the like amount. The applicant No.2 shall join the investigation as and when called by the Investigating Officer.

Anticipatory Bail Application is accordingly disposed of.
