The learned Advocate for the petitioners has strenuously criticized the impugned order dated 28/02/2019 passed by the Divisional Joint Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Latur under the Maharashtra Money-Lending (Regulation) Act, 2014. 2.

The learned Advocate appearing on behalf of respondent No.1 has strenuously opposed this petition by contending that this petition is rendered untenable since the petitioner has a statutory remedy under Section 9 of the said Act to approach the Registrar General who is the Commissioner, Cooperation State of Maharashtra at Pune.

This Court has taken a view in the matter of Gorakh Bhimrao Ardand Vs. The State of Maharashtra, Writ Petition No. 6646/2019 alongwith other petitions, vide order dated 11/06/2019 and has concluded that Section 9 remedy is of a statutory character.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off with liberty to the petitioner to approach the competent authority under Section 9, within THREE WEEKS from today. The time spent by the petitioner in this Court from 25/04/2019 until three weeks from today, would be a good ground for seeking condonation of delay, if any.
