Heard Mr. Deshmukh, the learned Senior Counsel for the applicant, learned A.P.P. for the respondent no.1 along with Mr. Chavan, learned counsel assisting him.

On the report lodged by the prosecutrix, the first information report has been registered against the applicant for the offence punishable under Sections 376 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code. This Court has granted interim protection to the applicant by order dated 20.05.2022. It was an admitted fact that the prosecutrix and the applicant had a love affair.

Today, the learned counsel appearing for the prosecutrix has filed an affidavit admitting that the applicant and prosecutrix have acquaintance with each other and had a love affair from 2019. Due to some misunderstanding and misinformation, the report came to be lodged. They have resolved the misunderstanding with the help of their well wishers, relatives and common friends. They have decided to settle the dispute amicably. This reply is by way of an affidavit. The learned counsel for the prosecutrix states that the affidavit filed on record is an affidavit sworn with free consent. 4.

Considering the facts of the case and the affidavit of the prosecutrix, the interim protection granted to the applicant by order dated 20.05.2022 is confirmed on the same terms and conditions. The application stands disposed of.
