The learned AGP representing respondent Nos. 1, 3 and 4, submits on instructions from the District Civil Surgeon that the word "Khandeeth" appearing in the impugned order dated 16.04.2024, is a typographical error and should be read as "Nilambit" (suspended). He also points out that the word "Nilamban" is also mentioned in the outward number and the word "Khandeeth" is a typographical error.

He further submits that an enquiry is being initiated against the Petitioner since an amount has been deposited by the Gramsevak in the account of the Petitioner, who is unconcerned with the contractual employment, and therefore, the said amount appears to be earned beyond known sources of income. The learned Advocate for the Petitioner submits on instructions that the amount of Rs.29,000/-which is deposited in his account, will be re-deposited in the account of the Grampanchayat, Selmoha, within a period of 15 days. The Petitioner further submits that he is willing to face the enquiry.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed off. Needless to state, if the Petitioner suffers any adverse order post enquiry, he would be at liberty to avail of the legal remedies as may be permissible in law.
