Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel for respondent No.1/ University.

The learned counsel for respondent No.1/ University, on instructions, submits that the decision about granting the approval to the appointment of the petitioner will be taken within a period of three months from today, and in case the petitioner is found eligible, the consequential benefits from the date of the appointment of the petitioner would be disbursed to him.

We dispose of the writ petition with direction to respondent No.1/University to take decision on the pending proposal in respect of grant of approval to the appointment of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible; however, within a period of eight weeks from today and in case the approval to the appointment of the petitioner is granted, the respondents shall release all the consequential benefits to the petitioner within four weeks thereafter. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from today.

The writ petition is disposed of on above terms.
