The petitioner's purpose would be served with the following observations which we propose to make while disposing of this petition.

This petition challenged the decision of the University rejecting the petitioner's request for starting additional division in Science College and in Post Graduation courses in certain subjects. Before the decision was taken, experts committee was sent for inspection. The said committee submitted its report in February, 2014 and opined that the permission should be refused. The permission then

wp4772.14 -2sought was for the academic year 2014-2015. The said year is already over. We are now in the year 2015-2016. The learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner informs us that even for the current year, an application was moved and the process was already conducted, but, he said, the petitioner had not received so far the communication from the University. In any case, even such application for permission would be useless for the current academic year which has already started long back. The petitioner can be suggested to make a fresh application for the next academic year i.e. 2016-2017. If such application is made, the University would consider the same on merits.

With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
