Mr. Adgaonkar, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the rank of the petitioner was withheld. The name of the petitioner did not figure in All India Rank of NEET-P.G. 2018. According to the learned counsel, the petitioner subsequently on 04.05.2018 has sent scanned marksheet of the M.B.B.S. Examination. The petitioner is now intending to take an admission in Postgraduate Diploma Course.

Mr. Deshpande, learned A.S.G. Submits that for admission to Postgraduate Diploma Course, the

983-wp-4911-2018 (2) State Merit List is to be considered and All India Rank would not be relevant for State Quota. The reliance is placed on Rule 1.2.3 which reads thus: "For admission to Medical Postgraduate courses at all Government/ Corporation / Government aided / Unaided Private and Minority medical colleges (Excluding Deemed University) in the State of Maharashtra for State Quota, State Merit list of eligible candidates will be prepared by the Competent Authority of the State of Maharashtra on the basis of NEET-PG 2018 examination."

In light of the above, even according to the respondents, there would not be any impediment for the petitioner to be considered for Postgraduate Diploma Course in the State of Maharashtra for State Quota, as the same would be dependent on the State Merit List of eligible candidates. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that result has been declared.

In light of the above, writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
