We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Addl. G. P. for respondent No. 2, Mr. Sawant, learned counsel for respondent Nos. 4 to 7 and Mr. Hon, learned counsel for respondent No. 3.

The learned counsel for the Municipal Corporation referred to the order passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 1593 of 2014 with other connected writ petitions decided under order dated 26.10.2018. 3.

Be that as it may, the learned Addl. G. P. on instructions submits

2 139-wp 7826-2021.odt that the State Government has directed the Municipal Corporation to submit its report qua representation of the petitioner. Upon receiving the report by Municipal Corporation, the State would take decision upon the representation of the petitioner as prayed in prayer Clause (B).

In the light of the above, we are not required to enter into the merits of the matter.

The Municipal Corporation shall give the report to the State Government as required by the State Government under communication dated 03.08.2021 expeditiously and preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from today. On receipt of the report from the Municipal Corporation, the State Government shall take decision upon the representation of the petitioner expeditiously and preferably within a period of eight (08) weeks thereafter.
