Petitioner claims to belong to "Tokare Koli", Scheduled Tribe and she has been admitted to B.Tech. Course in Respondent No.4 college as against a seat reserved for Scheduled Tribe category candidate.

It is the contention of the petitioner that though the tribe certificate issued in her favour has been referred for verification to Respondent No.2 Scrutiny Committee in the year 2013, no decision has yet been rendered and the proposal is pending with Respondent No.2-Committee. As a consequence of her failure to submit validity certificate, Respondents No.3 and 4 have not yet declared result of first year examination and petitioner has been denied admission to second year course.

{2} wp508116.odt In the facts of this case, this petition can be disposed of with a direction to Respondents No.3 and 4 to declare result of the petitioner for first year examination forthwith and if found eligible, admit her to the next academic year of the course; and order accordingly. Respondent No.2-Committee is directed to take decision on the proposal of the petitioner for verification of her tribe certificate, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from today.

Writ Petition is disposed of.
