The caste claim of the petitioner as belonging to "Koli Mahadev" is invalidated.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner could lay his hand on the old record, such as the old school record of cousin grandfather Yadav Santuka Yarpurwadkar and the old revenue record. The same could not be produced before the Committee.

The learned A.G.P. submits that the revenue record was received by the petitioner on 6th March 2021 and the order is passed on 24th March 2021.

The matter pertains to social status of the petitioner. We are inclined to grant one more opportunity to the petitioner in view of the additional documents. Certainly the Committee shall have to conduct vigilance in respect of the said documents and so also confirm the relationship of the petitioner with the persons in whose favour documents are.

In the light of above, the impugned order is quashed and set aside. The parties are relegated before the Scrutiny Committee. The petitioner shall appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 18th August, 2021 and may produce the documents on the said date. The documents shall be either certified copies or originals. The Committee is entitled to conduct vigilance in respect of the said documents and also verify and confirm veracity of the petitioner'

s relation with the document holders. The Committee may thereafter decide the said proceeding. If it is possible, the Committee may endeavour to decide the proceeding by 30th September 2021.
