The petitioner challenges the order directing the parties to appear for physical hearing in an appeal filed by him. The learned counsel submits that it would not be appropriate at this stage to direct physical hearing of the matters. The learned counsel submits that the petitioner is similarly situated as the petitioners in Writ Petition No. 8482/2015 and connected writ petitions.

This Court, on 19th August, 2020, had directed the parties to maintain status quo. In view of that, the Commissioner had kept the appeal pending.

The learned counsel further submits that at the behest of the third party, who is not concerned and under his threat, the Commissioner has fixed the hearing on 2nd of September, 2020.

The petitioner can bring it to the notice of the commissioner, the order passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 8482/2015 and connected

29wpst14041-20 matters. The petitioner may place all the facts on record before the Commissioner. It is for the Commissioner to consider all the relevant facts and pass orders.

The commissioner is performing the quasi judicial function. Certainly he would not be impressed by any threats issued to him and would deal with the matter on its own merits. 6.

Writ petition disposed of. No costs.
