Heard the learned Counsel for the applicant and the learned A.P.P. for the respondent.

The applicant is languishing behind the bars for more than one month for offence punishable under Section 7 and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act. The applicant was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe. Thereafter, entire process of recording statements, voice sample, thumb impressions, etc. has been completed. It is alleged that the applicant has received bribe of Rs.10,000/- against the release of Rs.60,000/-. Normally, in the

BA740.22 (2) case of trap, most of the proceedings are completed as soon as the trap is successful.

Having regard to the nature of the case, this Court is of the view that no material investigation would have remained to be done by the Investigating Officer. There appears no propriety in keeping the applicant behind the bars. The application, therefore, deserves to be allowed. Hence, the order - i) The application is allowed.

ii) The applicant Shaikh Sameer s/o. Shaikh Khaisar be released on bail on furnishing PB and SB of Rs.15,000/- with one solvent surety of like amount, in connection with C.R.No.68/2022, registered with Police Station, Basmat Rural, District Hingoli, on the condition that he shall appear before the Investigating Officer as and when called on written notice.

iii) Bail be furnished before the trial Court.

iv) Hamdust allowed.
