The learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.G.P. appearing for respondent No.2 - Education Officer jointly submitted that a direction may be given to the respondents/Management to consider the application of the petitioner for his appointment on compassionate ground.

In the light of submissions advanced across the bar, in case the Management has not yet taken the decision on the application submitted by the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground, respondent Nos. 4 and 5 are directed to take the decision on the
wp5894-2016 petitioner's application in accordance with law/policy and in case they feel it appropriate to appoint the petitioner on compassionate ground, forward such proposal to respondent No. 3. Respondent Nos. 3 to 5 to complete the entire exercise within a period of eight weeks from today. We make it clear that we have not examined the merits of the present case. It is left open to the respondent/Management to take appropriate decision.

The writ petition is disposed of on above terms.
