By order dated 24.03.2025, this Court directed applicants to deposit compensation amount along with up to date interest, within two weeks. Present Civil Application is moved by applicants-acquiring body contending that total compensation amount to be deposited is Rs. 8,31,000,00/-. Out of the same, applicants may be permitted to deposit Rs. 2 Crores for the present and 12 weeks time may be granted for depositing rest of the amount.

Learned advocate for claimant opposed the application stating that applicants have failed to deposit the amount within stipulated time and therefore stay granted in their favour may be vacated.

Considering the fact that amount to be deposited by applicants is huge and till date acquiring body has deposited Rs. 1,82,86,572/-, we deem it appropriate to allow the present application.

Civil Application is allowed.

5.

Applicants are permitted to deposit part compensation amount of Rs. 2 Crores in this Court. Applicants are granted 12 weeks time to deposit remaining compensation amount along with interest.

6.
