The learned counsel for petitioner submits that the petitioner is officiating as Police Patil even today. The validation proceeding is pending. Show cause notice is issued to the petitioner to submit the validity or else his services would be terminated. Issue notice to the Respondents.

The learned AGP waives notice for Respondent/State. It appears that the caste claim of the petitioner is referred recently in March 2021. The petitioner shall appear before the Committee on 15th July, 2021. The Committee shall endeavour to decide the proceeding preferably within six months from the date of appearance of the petitioner before it.

964 wp.7133.21.odt The respondents shall not take adverse action against the petitioner only on the ground that the validation proceeding is pending. The respondents may take further course of action depending upon the judgment that would be delivered by the Committee in validation proceeding.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
