Respondent No.3/ a private Co-operative Bank is under restriction of the Reserve Bank of India. Certain guidelines are applicable to the extent of permitting the depositors to withdraw their deposits in particular proportion. The Petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to a private Co-operative Bank, for directing that Bank to transfer an amount of Rs.31,00,000/- from his Account to the 'Assistant Sales Tax Commissioner, Aurangabad'.

We notice that the Petitioner is in arrears of payment of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), to the tune of Rs.1,72,11,478/-.

We do not deem it appropriate to invoke our writ jurisdiction in such matters. The Petitioner may avail of the remedies as are permissible in law.
