It is informed that tomorrow is the date prescribed for hearing of the matter before the Collector, Latur. 2.

The petitioner is raising an issue of jurisdiction to entertain an application under Section 44 (1) (e) (3) of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships Act, 1965. It would be open for the petitioner to canvass the issue of entertainability of the application, and the Collector shall deal with the issues including the objections so raised while dealing with the matter, in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 1965.

The Collector shall take final decision in the matter within a period of four weeks from today.

With the directions as above, the petition stands disposed of. The parties undertake to cooperate the learned Collector in expeditious disposal of the matter.
