After hearing the learned Advocate for the Petitioner for more than 20 minutes, we spent further 10 minutes in trying to convince the learned Advocate that he has to avail of a remedy under section 247 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code. Despite telling him that he is actually wasting the time of this Court, the learned Advocate went on and on, referring to each of the pages in the Writ Petition and narrating us the entire history of the ligation over the last two decades. Finally, when we dictated the order of dismissal, he submits that the Petitioner desires to withdraw this Petition to avail of that statutory remedy. 2.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is dismissed. The Petitioner is a Sarpanch. Cost of Rs. 5,000/- is imposed, which shall be paid by the Petitioner, before 31/7/2024. By consent of the learned AGP,

911wp6573-24 the cost amount is donated to the Advocate's Association of Bombay High Court, Bench at Aurangabad.
