By presenting this writ petition, the petitioner seeks an order for fair, effective and meaningful investigation of Nandurbar Police Station F.I.R. No.249/2018, dated 5th August, 2018 under Sections 420, 384 & 387 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter "the IPC", for short) and Sections 3 and 2(1)(B)(2) of the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013 (hereafter "the Act", for short).

We are informed by Mr. Nerlikar, learned APP for the State that investigation of the F.I.R. has culminated in submission of a police report under Section 173(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 bearing Charge Sheet No.41/2021 under Sections 420, 384, 387, 34 of the IPC and Sections 3 and 2(1)(B)(2) of the Act.

The purpose for which this writ petition had been instituted has worked itself out. In view thereof, the criminal writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.

We make it clear that we have not examined any of the points raised in the writ petition on merits and the jurisdictional Magistrate shall be at liberty to proceed strictly in accordance with law.
