DATE :- 08th June, 2018 Per Court:
The learned Advocate for the Applicant/ original Petitioner submits that after this Court delivered it's judgment on 03.05.2018 dismissing Writ Petition No.7942/2017, he had sought stay to the judgment of this Court for a period of six weeks to approach the Honourable Supreme Court. This Court, accordingly, stayed the judgment. The copy of the judgment was uploaded on the official website of the Bombay High Court on 08.05.2018 and the Honourable Supreme Court entered vacation from 19.05.2018. The vacation would end on 01.07.2018 and the Honourable Supreme Court would resume work on 02.07.2018. He, therefore, prays for extension of stay for a period of two
*2* 919ca7108o18 weeks from the date of reopening of the Honourable Supreme Court so as to seek a hearing in his Special Leave Petition. The learned Advocate for the Respondents has strenuously opposed this Civil Application.
I find from the order of this Court, which is sought to be challenged in the Honourable Supreme Court, that the Applicant/ Petitioner was continuously under interim protection of this Court for the past about two years and hence, this Court stayed it's judgment dated 03.05.2018. In this backdrop, ends of justice would be met by continuing the said protection upto 13.07.2018.
In the light of the above, this Civil Application is allowed and the protection granted by this Court is extended till 13.07.2018. kps (RAVINDRA V. GHUGE, J.)
