The present writ petition seeks direction against the respondents to grant admission to D. Ed. Course by considering the claim for admission not only from Scheduled Caste category but also from all other special categories such as Ward of ex-servicemen, earthquake affected person and the category of widow by adjusting reservation in one category with another.

The writ petition is filed in the year 2005. Now the said prayer would not survive as it pertains to the admission for the year 2005. In case the petitioner is eligible, the petitioner may seek such permission from the authorities concerned by filing representation and if the authorities find the petitioner eligible, may consider the representation of the petitioner on its own merits, as per the existing policy in accordance with law. The writ petition as such is disposed of. Rule disposed of. No costs.
