ORDER :- Mr. Munde, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that this court vide order dated 28.8.2020 recorded the statement made on behalf of the respondent that there is no objection for restoration of electricity connection to the premises occupied by the petitioner.

Accordingly, this Court directed restoration of the electricity connection to the premises occupied by the petitioner. Consequently, writ petition was disposed of. However, the respondent authorities denied distribution of electricity. As such, committed Contemp of Court.

Mr. Bagul, learned advocate appearing for the respondent No.2 tendered an affidavit of Mr. Pramod Sambhaji Henul, Divisional Controller of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation explaining the circumstances for delay in implementation of the order passed by this Court and also tendered unconditional apology for such delay.

Taking into account the contents of the affidavit and the unconditional apology tendered before this Court, no action under the provisions of Contempt of courts Act is necessary, particularly when the electricity supply to the premises of the petitioner has already been restored w.e.f. 24.9.2020.

Contempt petition stands disposed of.
