This Court, on 21.6.2016, passed order in Writ Petition no.6241 of 2017 directing the respondent no.1 to take the decision on the representation dated 2.3.2013 filed by the Association of which the petitioner is a member, if the same is already not decided, keeping in view the Government policy, on its own merits as expeditiously as possible, and preferably within twelve weeks from the date of the said order.

In compliance with the directions, the respondent no.1 has taken a decision on the representation on 2.6.2018. However, the said decision was not taken within a period of twelve weeks from the date of the said order.

The respondent no.1 in his affidavit dated 18.11.2019, in paragraph 5 has explained the delay by pointing out that the delay is unintentional in taking the decision because the file was referred to

CP-653-2017 Finance department several times and the Finance department had raised several queries and gave an opinion and thereafter only the decision was taken.

In view of the explanation given by respondent no.1, for delay caused in taking decision and apology tendered for the delay caused in deciding the representation of the Association. The apology tendered by respondent no.1 is accepted. In view of the fact that the order of this Court is complied, nothing survives in the present petition.
