Heard Mr. Dhorde, learned counsel for the petitioner. The petitioner challenges the amendment i.e. Maharashtra Municipal Corporations and Municipal Councils (Amendment) Act, 2008, dated 2nd May 2008 as being violative of Articles 14 and 243(3) of the Constitution of India. It is not disputed by the learned counsel for respective parties that the said amendment has further undergone amendments and the further amendments are not assailed in the present writ petition.

In light of the above, the challenge made in the present petition would not survive. Writ Petition, as such, is disposed of. Rule discharged. No costs.
