Mr. Deshmukh, the learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, the petitioners are working on contractual basis on sanctioned posts. The petitioners were selected after going through the selection process under the Reproduction of Child Health scheme. The Municipal Corporation has forwarded proposal for their regularization. The same is pending with the respondent No. 1.

Mr. Hon, the learned advocate for the respondent No. 3 affirms that the respondent No. 3 has forwarded the proposal to the respondent No. 1 for regularization of services of the petitioners.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader does not have any instructions.

Considering the fact that, the proposal seeking regularization of services of the petitioners is forwarded by the respondent No. 3 to the respondent No. 1, we direct the respondent No. 1 to take decision upon the said proposal (page

87) on its own merits, as per its policy, expeditiously and preferably within a period of six (06) months from today. 5.

It is submitted that, posts on which the petitioners are working are sanctioned posts, the corporation has also submitted proposal for regularization meaning thereby corporation needs services of the petitioner. In view of that, the respondents shall not dispense with the services of the petitioners till the respondent No. 1 decides the proposal forwarded by the respondent No. 3 seeking regularization of services of petitioners. 6.
