1] The petitioners contend that they are the Hostel Superintendents and are entitled for the pay-scale of Rs.4500-7000, however, are being paid pay-scale of Rs.4000-6000. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the respondents be directed to apply the pay-scale of Rs.4500-7000 to the petitioners. 2] We have heard the learned AGP.

3] It does not appear that the petitioners have made any such representation claiming the said pay-scale. It

WP 5823/15 - 2 - would be appropriate for the petitioners to make such a representation with the authorities.

4] In the result, we pass following order.

5] The petitioners shall make representation with the respondent nos.3 & 4 seeking the requisite pay-scale. On receipt of such representation, the respondent nos.3 & 4 shall decide said representation on its own merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of such representation. The petitioners are at liberty to put forth their stand before the authorities. The petitioners are entitled to place on record the relevant judgments. Writ petition accordingly stands disposed of. No order as to costs.
