The certificates of the petitioners are cancelled and confiscated on the ground that the caste certificates issued to the petitioners mention wrong spelling of the tribe. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners have already filed applications with the Sub-Divisional Officer for getting tribe certificates of Koli Mahadev Scheduled Tribe with corrected spelling, however the applications are not decided yet.

The petitioners shall obtain attested copy of the caste certificate from the Committee and file said attested copies of the tribe certificates of Koli Mahadev with the Sub-Divisional Officer. After submission of the same, the Sub-Divisional Officer shall consider the attested copies of the tribe
certificates issued by the Scrutiny Committee and shall issue corrected tribe certificates of Koli Mahadev scheduled tribe to the petitioners within two weeks of the submission of attested copies.

The petitioners thereafter, within a period of two weeks, shall submit the proposal and corrected certificates to the Scrutiny Committee and on receipt of the same, the Scrutiny Committee shall decide the validation proceedings in respect of the claim of the petitioners expeditiously, preferably within six months from the date of submission of the fresh tribe certificate and proposal.

The writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
