In both these writ petitions, the communication dated 27th January, 2021 is assailed wherein the work order issued in favour of the petitioner in Writ Petition No.7663 of 2021 is temporarily suspended.

We have heard the learned Advocates for the petitioners. The learned AGP has filed reply in Writ Petition No.7463 of 2021. In the said reply, it is averred that the work did not commence for want of funds also. It is further averred in the affidavit that the meeting is to be held under the Chairmanship of the Honourable Minister, Urban Development Department. The said meeting was scheduled on 22nd October, 2021. However, due to administrative reasons, the same was postponed. Now the meeting would be held and the decision would be taken.

It is more than ten months the work order issued is temporarily stayed. It is high time final decision is taken by the authorities in that regard. Because of the delay in the work, many other consequences would arise.

In light of that, the respondents authorities shall take decision with regard to the work order issued to the petitioner in Writ Petition No.7663 of 2021 and temporarily suspended, within a period of two months from today.

Depending upon the decision taken, the parties may take further

appropriate steps.
