The Petitioner's father, who was working with the Municipal Corporation at Parbhani, passed away on 10.11.2014. The widow applied on 06.01.2016 for compassionate appointment. The Petitioner is not aware as to whether any limitation period is applicable. Since the widow became 45 years of age, she was informed by letter dated 06.01.2018 by the Corporation that she cannot be considered.

Therefore, the Petitioner moved his first application on 20.02.2018. The Petitioner is born

2 wp 6095.2022 on 21.07.2001. Though the first application was filed as a minor, the Petitioner has been continuously filing applications for considering his candidature for appointment on compassionate basis.

Since the applications filed by the Petitioner are pending with the Corporation, this Petition is disposed off with a direction to the Corporation to consider his application strictly in accordance with the scheme / policies as may be applicable. In the event the Petitioner is eligible, the Corporation would consider whether he could be granted compassionate appointment. Let such exercise of verification of documents be completed on or before 15.10.2022.
