Heard the learned Advocate for the petitioner and learned AGP. 1.

The petitioner, who claims to be a social activist is eager to get the disciplinary proceeding initiated against couple of officials of the respondent no.5/Municipal Council decided at the earliest. 2.

Since we were skeptical about the locus of the petitioner, we had asked the learned AGP to take instructions as to the stage of the disciplinary proceeding and the estimated time for concluding it.

The learned AGP on written instructions from the Deputy Commissioner of Municipal Administration, Divisional Office, Aurangabad dated 28.06.2023 submits that the enquiry is going and on an oral instructions states that it would be concluded within six months.

Irrespective of the locus of the petitioner, now that we have been made aware about the stage of the enquiry and the estimated time to conclude it, we dispose of the writ petition by permitting the petitioner to approach the respondent no.3 with representation adverting his attention to the apparent delay in concluding the disciplinary proceeding.
