The petitioner is taking exception to the order passed way back in 2011 by the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal. The petitioner had joined service as a Peon. Later on, he was promoted to the Class-III position. During his service tenure, he committed some misconduct and therefore was subjected to departmental inquiry. In the departmental inquiry, the charge was partially proved, and a penalty of reduction in rank was imposed. Thereafter, he approached the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, taking exception to the said penalty, but was unsuccessful.

After 11 years of the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal decision on the petitioner's claim, the petitioner now wants to dig out the same. In our considered view, delay, laches, and acquiescence would come fully against the claim of the petitioner, more so when the Page 1 of

936 WP 12332-2025 petitioner has not afforded any reason in the petition explaining the delay in approaching this Court. For this reason, we are even not inclined to issue notice in the matter.
