The grievance of the petitioner is that though the land of the petitioner is sought to be acquired, the acquisition proceedings have not been initiated and the petitioner is deprived of payment of compensation. The learned A.G.P has placed on record a communication dated 25.11.2025 addressed by Sub-Divisonal Officer/ L.A.O, stating that the acquisition proceedings would be started and those will be concluded as per the provisions of 'The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

It is pointed out that unless the measurement of the land sought to be acquired is carried out, the further proceedings cannot be undertaken.

We direct that, the measurement shall be carried out within a period of two months from today and the proceedings should not be delayed on the count of measurement.
