The petitioner is aggrieved that the claim of his nephew Sandip Adiwal seeking appointment as a sweeper on the basis of Lad Page Committee's Recommendation (Vashila Padhat) is pending since, 2019. The petitioner nominated his son for appointment on Vashila Padhat.

Thereafter, he replaced his son by nominating Sandip Adiwal. He only wants respondent No. 7 to consider the request for appointing Sandip Adiwal as a Sweeper on Vashila Padhat.

Normally, in such matters there cannot be a direction to decide the proposal or claim within a particular time frame since the issue is as regards the availability of posts of Sweepers. As such, issuing such directions would in fact create complications because, if the claim is not decided within a time frame, the petitioner would prefer a contempt petition in this court.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off with the expectation that respondent No. 7 would consider the case of Sandip Adiwal based on his seniority in the list of enlisted candidates for appointment on Vashila Padhat as a Sweeper and in the light of available vacancies.
