At the outset the learned A.P.P.

appearing for the Respondent/State on the basis of the written instructions received by him from the concerned A.P.I.

submits that, the said Officer is ready to cause further investigation, as suggested by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner by giving some suggestions. It appears that the present officer has assumed the charge as the Incharge Police Station Officer and earlier Investigating Officer is transferred. The said Officer has

669.16WP instructed the A.P.P. that he himself will cause further investigation in the matter and after conclusion of the said investigation he will take appropriate steps depending upon the investigation to file the additional evidence/ supplementary charge-sheet.

We have carefully perused the contents of the affidavit filed on behalf of the Superintendent of Police, Parbhani. In paragraph no.5 of the said affidavit in reply, it is stated that, the investigation initially was done by the Assistant Police Inspector, however, keeping in view the seriousness of the case, the investigation has been transferred to a Deputy Superintendent of Police. In that view of the matter, the purpose of filing the Petition is satisfied. The Petition stands disposed of in the above terms.
